Hehe. I recognized the address on the record. I used to live just up the street / around the corner, and would have been about 4 years old at the time. "Stoney Brook Sound" is really just someone's basement in a suburban Stoney Creek house.
ReplyDeleteAnd "Roy Boy Records" is in a little bungalow in Hamilton's north-east end.
Cool!
ReplyDeleteRoy Boy Records does still exist?
I'd assume the band and the record label are long gone. I didn't actually know them...just recognized the addresses (and then looked at them on Google). I bet I know someone who knows someone who was in this band though. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, the owner of the label and leader of the band was Ron Belliveau; any connection?
ReplyDeleteNope, sorry.
